We expected it to be good and it covered all that we could have hoped for. The experience itself was special but what made it incredible was our driver/guide. I can’t compliment Khalid enough, such an interesting guy with huge passion for what he does, friendly, excitable, attentive and an all round pleasure to be in the company of. I would not hesitate to book again and would be sure to point any friends and family if your direction should they look to take a similar trip.
We had a fabulous time and managed to see everything we wanted to see with close encounters with a leopard, a cheetah with her cubs and various lions as the real highlights. We also saw a Nile Monitor Lizard in the Tarangire river which was close to 2m long – loads of birds of prey and all the usual suspects like buffalo, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest etc, etc.
Gerald is a wonderful guide and driver and we got on with him extremely well. Please do pass on our thanks to him when you next speak to him. I’m sure the qualities of the guide can make or break a safari and he certainly made ours.
