Arrival in Zanzibar & discover Stone Town

Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver, who will take you to the charming Shaba Boutique Hotel. After checking in, you can immerse yourself in the rich culture and history of Stone Town. Stroll through the narrow alleys, admire the mix of Arabic, Persian and European architecture and visit the lively local markets.

Further exploration of Stone Town (optional excursions)

Continue to discover the hidden gems of Stone Town and visit the spice markets, craft workshops and historic slave trade sites. Take a dhow boat trip to Prison Island, home to giant Aldabra tortoises, or take a traditional Swahili cooking workshop. Spend another night at the charming Shaba Boutique Hotel and reflect on the cultural treasures of this unique destination.

Selous Safari Adventure

Enjoy an early breakfast before being transferred to Zanzibar Airport for a short bush flight to the famous Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park). Upon arrival at Mtemere Airstrip, you will meet your safari guide and transfer to Africa Safari Selous. In the afternoon, you will go on an exciting game drive through the park, where you will have the opportunity to spot elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras and countless bird species. As the sun sets, you will return to your lodge by the river for dinner and the chance to observe the wildlife in the area.

Selous – A magical experience in southern Tanzania

Start the morning with a guided bush walk and learn more about animal tracks, indigenous plants and traditional survival techniques. Later, enjoy a boat safari on the Rufiji River, where you can admire hippos, crocodiles and a variety of exotic bird species up close. This unique experience offers a whole new perspective on Africa’s unspoilt wilderness. Spend another night at Africa Safari Selous, where you can relax under the starry sky and listen to the sounds of nature.

Return to Zanzibar & relaxation on the beach

After breakfast, you will make a short transfer back to Mtemere Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival at Zanzibar Airport, our driver will take you to your beach resort. After checking in, you will have the rest of the day free to relax by the pool, take a dip in the turquoise waters or enjoy a peaceful stroll along the beach. The evening is perfect for a sunset cocktail and dinner by the sea.

Snorkelling at Mnemba Atoll (optional)

For ocean lovers, there is an optional snorkelling adventure to Mnemba Atoll, one of Zanzibar’s most famous marine reserves. Dive into crystal clear waters filled with colourful coral, tropical fish and, with a bit of luck, dolphins. Those who prefer to enjoy things at a more leisurely pace can spend the day at the beach resort, pamper themselves with spa treatments or simply enjoy the sea breeze.

Leisure time & sunset dhow cruise

Spend your last full day in Zanzibar at your own pace. Relax on the beach, enjoy a yoga session by the sea or buy souvenirs at a local market. In the late afternoon, set sail on a traditional dhow cruise. Admire the golden sunset over the Indian Ocean with refreshing drinks and light snacks – a perfect end to your tropical journey.
