Day 3 and 4 – Serengeti
Over the next two days you will explore the world famous Serengeti National Park. The word Serengeti comes from the Maasai language and literally means “endless plains”. Lots of predators roam these vast plains; over four thousand lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and wild dogs. The route you take is beautiful, driving along the Ngorongoro plateaus and continue along the western crater road until the trail leads you downhill directly into the legendary Serengeti.
After lunch we do a game drive all afternoon in this unique ecosystem. Towards the evening we arrive at Africa Safari Ikoma Lodge. Located between Serengeti Seronera, Grumeti and Ikorongo Game Reserves the location is perfect for exploring the Serengeti. It’s a lovely retreat to relax, watch the bird life or a herd of impala grazing quietly around the camp area. Enjoy the truly breathtaking night sky while listening to the sounds of the African bush.
The fourth day we spend one more day in Serengeti and late afternoon we head to Ndutu/South Serengeti where we overnight Africa Safari South Serengeti. The area is famous for the calving season of the Great Migration, an absolute highlight of the annual wildebeest migration.
